At Black Travel Maine, our mission is to celebrate the beauty, culture, and heritage of Maine by creating inclusive travel experiences that reflect the diversity of our world. Nestled on the northeastern coast of the United States, Maine is more than a destination — it’s an opportunity to explore untold stories, build community, and discover the soul of a state rich in history and natural wonder.
From the rugged coastline and iconic lighthouses to Black history walking tours and community-led events, we showcase Maine through a new lens — one that honors the past, uplifts the present, and inspires the future.
Black Travel Maine (BTM) curates cultural travel experiences that showcase the beauty, history, and hospitality of Maine, specifically, but not exclusively, for Black and multiethnic travelers.
We amplify untold stories, drive economic impact, and reshape the narrative of who travels to and thrives in Maine, making every visitor feel seen, welcomed, and inspired.
